WHAT WE DO
Land Securities have kindly funded a monthly advocacy project. Young women with learning disabilities will explore their identity, expressing their thoughts and feelings about contemporary issues affecting their lives.
We use an arts-based approach to develop the young womens’ leadership, social and communication skills, through craft, DIY, film-making and drama
We are working to develop a collective consciousness by exploring the status of disabled
women and challenging stereotypes.
The Girls finish work on their zine, which will be printed by early next Autumn.
