Our Full Time Youth Team
CEO & Youth WorkerRachel is the CEO, and a professional Youth and Community Worker.
Rachel joined Caxton Youth Organisation as a Youth Worker in 2010, and worked with the charity’s Manager of over twenty years to deliver specialist Youth Work provision, at both Caxton Youth Club and Midge Island. In 2013 Rachel became Chief Executive, when her predecessor Janet Beech MBE retired.
Head of Development
Rose is our Head of Development. She is passionate about working in the youth sector and empowering young people to achieve their potential. Since starting at Caxton she has specialised in advocacy projects with girls and young women. Rose started in 2015 and until recently was our Head of Programmes. Since 2020 she moved into the role of Chief Executive (maternity cover) and then over to the Head of Development role. She leads on fundraising and organisational development.
Senior Youth Worker
Floyd is the Senior Youth Worker at Caxton Youth Organisation. A qualified Youth Worker, his specialist areas are substance misuse education, and child protection.
Floyd leads Caxton’s Health and Personal Care Programme, which supports young people to be healthy and to be able to make informed choices about their health.
Eliane is a qualified Youth Worker. Her specialist areas are Employability and developing Independence Skills. Eliane works on the Employability Programme, as well as supporting in other areas and overseeing Caxton’s social media, ensuring that it is as youth-led as possible. This helps to develop young people’s skills and learning.
Head of Programmes
Amy is Caxton’s Head of Programmes. She is running the Emotional and Social Wellbeing programme with City Bridge trust equipping people with the tools to improve their wellbeing.
Our Part Time Support
Jessie joined the Organisation in July 2018. Her role includes includes office work, supporting staff members with their work and anything else that needs doing to help the running of the Organisation.
Jill is the Art and music workshop coordinator for Caxton Youth Organisation. For the last 12 years, she has been running weekly art and music workshops for the young people to help explore their artistic and musical skills.
Jill has led Caxton to stage art exhibitions and shows of members work in venues including the Chelsea School of Art, Westminster City Hall and the Lord Mayors Parlour. Jill is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and is a successful practicing artist and musician.
Alex is a (nearly!) qualified Youth Worker at Caxton Youth Organisation. She began volunteering with Caxton in autumn 2019 and has continued on as a staff member. She is especially working to develop sports and physical health provision with our young people. She has been advocating for our members’ voices to be heard throughout consultation and decision-making, and will be co-facilitating the Women’s Advocacy Group.
Alex attended Caxton for over 4 years as a youth member; enjoying the chance to help younger members. She joined the staff team in September 2020 and is helping to lead a project called “Getting back on track.” In her spare time she enjoys sport, fitness and walking, sometimes walking and hiking over a hundred miles a week. She hopes to inspire and encourage young people to meet their fitness goals and become healthier.
