Our Full Time Youth Team
CEO & Youth WorkerRachel is the CEO, and a professional Youth and Community Worker.
Rachel joined Caxton Youth Organisation as a Youth Worker in 2010, and worked with the charity’s Manager of over twenty years to deliver specialist Youth Work provision, at both Caxton Youth Club and Midge Island. In 2013 Rachel became Chief Executive, when her predecessor Janet Beech MBE retired.
Head of Programmes
Rose is Caxton’s Head of Programmes. A professional Youth Worker, she manages youth engagement across Caxton Youth Organisation’s portfolio of programmes, and leads our local authority-commissioned Employment Support Programme. This piece of work is designed to recruit and engage young people ages 16-25 in developing skills for work experience, volunteering and job opportunities. Since 2017, Rose has also been leading Caxton’s Girls Advocacy group.
Senior Youth Worker
Floyd is the Senior Youth Worker at Caxton Youth Organisation. A qualified Youth Worker, his specialist areas are substance misuse education, and child protection.
Floyd leads Caxton’s Health and Personal Care Programme, which supports young people to be healthy and to be able to make informed choices about their health.
Daniela is the Youth worker on the Independence Programme, seeking to empower and advance young people’s voices. She works with the Head of Programmes to support young people with learning difficulties, using one to one support and developmental group work.
Jessie joined the Organisation in July 2018. Her role includes includes office work, supporting staff members with their work and anything else that needs doing to help the running of the Organisation.
Jill is the Art and music workshop coordinator for Caxton Youth Organisation. For the last 12 yeats, she has been running weekly art and music workshops for the young people to help explore their artisitic and musical skills.
Jill has led Caxton to stage art exhibitions and shows of members work in venues including the Chelsea School of Art, Westminster City Hall and the Lord Mayors Parclour. Jill is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and is a successful practicing artist and musician.
Transitions Youth Worker
Carl is our Transitions Wouth Worker. His role includes supporting the Head of Programmes on the newly-commissioned Employment Support and Independent Skills Programme. He will support young people in one-to-one sessions exploring career options, applying for work experience, writing CV’s and practicing job interview skills.
Neil is Caxton’s media support, providing the photography for our promotional material. He is the longest serving person in the organisation, having started out as a member over 35 years ago, and has been staff for a number of years. He provides additional support to the members of Caxton such as help with counting, telling the time, and other independence skills.
Our Part Time Support
Express yourself, get moving and develop your dance technique! DanceWest deliver Dance Masterclasses for Caxton members on Monday evenings.
MMARAP provides Caxton members with mixed martial arts and self-defence programmes on Friday evenings. MMARAP sessions consist of high quality training and mentoring to assist with their development and empowerment.
