Our Facilities

Caxton Youth Club

The Basement Clubrooms is a safe space in the inner city, where they can come to make and meet their friends. We prioritise the inclusion of young people with physical and/ or learning disabilities who live in Westminster between the ages of 11-25.

The Club is open on Monday and Wednesday, 6.30pm – 9pm and Friday 6pm – 8.30pm, with different age groups attending on different evenings to ensure age-appropriate activities.

Through participation in a wide range of activities, topic and issue-based groups, members learn to make informed choices and decisions. The club aims to offer a fun atmosphere, and the chance to learn new skills.

Midge Island

Caxton Youth Organisation provides its members with residential provision at its outdoor base, Midge Island, from Easter to November each year.
These can be 2, 3, 5, or 8 day breaks.

Minibus

Caxton owns its own Minibus, and provides transport to and from the Youth Club for those young people who require it.

Caxton Youth Organisation is Makaton Friendly approved by The Makaton Charity. This means:

  • Our staff have done Makaton training
  •  We understand that different people use alternative ways to communicate
  • We provide a supportive and welcoming environment so that people who have learning or communication difficulties whatever age, can take part in the services that are provided
  • We use symbols and signs around the organisation to aid inclusiveness and independence with signage and wayfinding

Our hard work is only made possible thanks to your continuing support

Without the fundraising efforts and generous donations from people like you, we wouldn’t be able to help transform the lives that we do. All of the money that we raise goes directly to supporting young people with disabilities in Westminster, who would otherwise struggle to get the right support on their way towards an independent life. Your donations go towards the activities and development programmes that make a real difference to people every single day, and we are truly thankful for all the help that you can give.
